Tollywood heroine & Producer in hugs debits :
Actress Kalyani's film 'Chapter 6' released today. And guess what. The film has got bad talk by afternoon itself and in many places the movie is running to half-empty bookings. Incidentally the movie has been produced by Kalyani herself and sources say that she took the help of some financiers for the movie and with the talk of 'utter flop' doing rounds, she has a lot to do to repay them. The film too has nothing to boast about and many scenes are said to have been picked up straight from old movies.
Hope good sense prevails on Kalyani and her husband and stop from producing movies themselves.

Tollywood top hero’s Brothers caught in drug mafia
Raghu Babu & Bharat, the brothers of hero Ravi Teja, have been arrested by the task force in Hyderabad for his involvement in the drug dealings.
According to the sources, the police has information about their involvement many months back when few Nigerians revealed Raghu Babu's name. But since the police didn't have correct proof to nail him, they waited till today. Yesterday they were caught red-handed while receiving drugs from an Ugandan/Nigerian. Sources say that Raghu Babu has been supplying drugs to many people in Tollywood and the police are interrogating him and Bharat to reveal those names.
The police said that the brothers wanted to buy three grams of cocaine which costs around three lakhs, while they seized around 51 gms from the Ugandan/Nigerian. The police incidentally wanted to keep the arrest, secret. But one reporter got a whiff of the whole issue and the news spread like wildfire. The vehicle that Rahu Babu used for coming to the spot having number AP 13 L 8999, is registered in the name of his brother, Ravi Teja.
Around few weeks back, Raghu Babu was involved in drunken driving and is also known for many illicit relationships. Incidentally names like telugu cine hero Tarun and few other producers are also doing rounds for their involvements in this drug scandal. This comes as a shock for not only Tollywood, but also to Ravi Teja whose' Don Seenu has been declared a hot recently. Now those festivities are marred by this incident.

Ex-gratia announced to Saidabad building collapse victims
Ms Karthika Reddy was speaking to media persons after she visited the site of the tragedy to review the rescue works going on, along with city Police Commissioner AK Khan. She said that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has a list of 800 such buildings which are in a dilapidated condition. The Mayor said that steps would be taken to vacate the occupants of these buildings so that the dilapidated structures could be pulled down.
Initial reports suggested that six people might have been trapped under the debris but rescuers finally managed to retrieve three bodies.

Ex-TTD chairman demands for CBI enquiry against himself
Former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board chairman Bumana Karunakar Reddy on Tuesday refuted allegations of irregularities during his tenure as TTD chairman, hurled against him by Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu as ‘baseless’.Talking to media persons, Mr Karunakar asserted that he was innocent of any wrongdoing and willing to face any punishment if even one of the allegations made against him is proved.
The former TTD chairman demanded a probe by either a sitting Judge or by the CBI into the allegations made against him so that his name would be cleared. He pointed out that he was the only person who is seeking a CBI probe against himself.
Mr Karunakar also requested devotees of Lord Venkateshwara to demand a CBI probe against him and stressed that this is the only way to clear his name. The former TTD chairman also said that he is contemplating of going on a hunger-strike if the government does not give in to his demand of a CBI probe within two days.
Mr Karunakar also expressed his anguish that former chief minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy is also being targeted for the irregularities in the TTD Board. He said some persons have gone to the extent of claiming that the late chief minister has taken the Lords ornaments to Israel during his pilgrimage there. The staunch YSR loyalist said that he is proud to be the former chief minister’s student and he does not feel the need to bow down to anyone since he has not committed any mistake.

Rosaiah Praise YSR in I-Day celebrations
Chief minister Addressing the 64th Independence Day celebrations on Sunday, Rosaiah said that since the economy was now looking up, the government would continue all the welfare schemes launched by Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and will also envisage new welfare schemes and development programmes. K.Rosaiah delivered his 30-minute speech sitting on a chair contrary to the normal practice of addressing the state from the podium as he has not yet fully recovered from his recent indisposition. This is the first time that any chief minister in the state had done so.
If required, this government will conceive new schemes for the welfare of poor. It is not my intent to have my own mark on the new welfare programmes," the CM said. The government had prepared a four-pronged strategy to plug loopholes in the implementation of the schemes. The state exchequer had lost Rs 100 crore per day due to floods, drought and agitations for T state. However, Rosaiah said, the revenue increased by 31 per cent between April-June this year.
Referring to the irrigation sector, he said modernization of Krishna, Godavari and Penna deltas and Nagarjunasagar and Nizamsagar canals at a cost of Rs 15,000 crore will be completed by 2013-14. It was also proposed to generate 291 MW power this year and 7,500 MW power in the next four years. To reduce power transmission loss due to technical glitches, re-structured and accelerated power development programme has been launched in 113 towns by at an expense of Rs 388 crore. Referring to Indira Kranthi Patham scheme (Pavala Vaddi), Rosaiah said the government has set a target to provide Rs one lakh crore loans to self help groups by 2015-16 and make every household "lakshadhikari" as promised by YSR.

“Gogula” Recommends Heroine for Pawan’s film
Just recently, it was heard that the music maker Ramana Gogula became a proud father but now it is heard that he has become a godfather to someone in the film circuit. If sources are to be believed, then the Kannada beauty Kriti Kharbanda becoming the second heroine for Pawan Kalyan’s film happens to be the doing of Gogula. “Brindavanam” shoot interrupted due to Jr.NTR Injury
Young tiger Jr NTR again got injured, this time while shooting for ‘Brindavanam’. Inside sources said that while performing a risky action scene in the film, he got hurted himself and was immediately rushed to KIM’s hospital Secunderabad, where he got 3 stitches on head. As a result of this, the shooting for the day has been cancelled.
The unit members said that the director of the movie, Vamsi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju advised NTR to do the shot by having a dupe as it is risky one. But NTR gone a head and performed the scene on his own.
Sources said that doctors advised NTR to have a few days rest and there is no need to worry. It is also said that the shooting will again starts after 4 days as NTR will be better by that time.

Three “Big Heros” to release Hindi RoBo
Bollywood big shots Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan have confirmed to attend the audio launch of Rajini-Shankar's The Robot, the Hindi version of Tamil movie Endhiran.
The Robot features Superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Bachchan in the lead and produced by Sun Pictures. Grammy Award winner A.R. Rahman has scored the music and the audio of the Tamil version was launched in Malaysia on July 31 and soon after that Telugu version of the film Robo audio was also launched in Hyderabad.
Hansraj Saxena, the CEO of Sun Pictures, confirmed that the Big B and King Khan have agreed to attend the function.He says,"We are making all the arrangements to ensure it’s a memorable show. We have also invited Aamir Khan as well. Aishwarya will join us from there itself. Of course, Rajinikanth, Kalanidhi Maran, A.R. Rahman will also be flying in. The event is scheduled to take place at the Marriot in Mumbai on Saturday, August 14th."
Prabhas Busy with “Hot Cuties” in Australia
Young Rebel star Prabhas is busy shooting in Australia for a Telugu movie directed by Dasarath and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. This Prabhas Dil Raju movie earlier completed shooting schedules in various locations like Ahobilam, Hyderabad and Malaysia. After this Australia schedule, the unit will be returning back to Hyderabad on 24th and continue their shooting here and then and would head to Pollachi.
Kajal Agarwal and Taapsee are playing the female leads in this film, which Dasarath has been working for quite some time. The movie is slated foe year end release.

Andhra Pradesh chief minister K Rosaiah had only simple cold and fever and has tested negative for H1N1 or swine flue, doctors said on Thursday. The reports and lab test of the Chief Minister K Rosaiah were negative for H1N1 influenza ( swine flu ), State Chief Coordinator for Swine Flu, AP Chest Hospital, Dr K Sudhakar said, adding that he has already resumed office.
Meanwhile, eleven fresh cases of H1N1 influenza were reported on Thursday in the State, taking the total number of cases to 342, while reports of some patients are still awaited, he said. Of the 11 cases, ten were from Hyderabad and one from Nalgonda. Despite many new cases of swine flue being reported, Dr Sudhakar felt that one should not panic as the disease can be managed, provided people report to nodal centres if their fever persists for more than 48 hours.
Walker’s path from Alipiri will remain closed
"The walkers path from Alipiri will remain closed between 4 pm and 6 am till August 21," said TTD EO I Y R Krishna Rao. The female leopard was reportedly spotted near the ghat road on Wednesday night and all efforts are on to trap the animal, the EO said.
This is the third extension of the closure of the walkers path following attacks on humans by leopards. One leopard was trapped last week but the closure continues as the second one is yet to be caught.

KCR advises Seemandhra to apologies
TRS intensified its efforts to put pressure on the Seemandhra ministers to apologies to the people of Telangana for calling their demand for a separate state as "anti-national.'' TRS presidentK Chandrasekhar Rao along with T-JAC and BJP leaders called on governorE S L Narsimham on Thursday and submitted a memorandum urging him to advise the ministers to offer an apology.
Later speaking to mediapersons, Rao warned that if the 16 ministers fail to apologise, they will not be allowed to move in Telangana. It is also learnt that KCR and the governor had a one-on-one meeting for more than 30 minutes wherein they discussed political developments that took place after the byelection in Telangana. He is said to have told the governor how a study team appointed by Srikrishna committee was not allowed to visit Pothireddypadu project by Rayalaseema leaders and sought his intervention.

MMTS Hits Nursing student while walking close to railway tracks
For residents of localities like Pittala Basti, Ravindra Nagar and others, crossing over the tracks is a shortcut to Tarnaka or the Osmania University campus. A compound wall was constructed by railway authorities to ensure people don’t trespass onto the tracks. But the reality is the wall has been broken down at several places by locals. “The tracks are even used as open-air lavatories by locals,” a railway police official said. Though railway officials said walking along the tracks or crossing them is trespassing.
A nursing student died when she was hit by an MMTS train while going to college near Sitaphalmandi railway station on Thursday morning. J Theresa, 16, of Ravindra Nagar in Sitaphalmandi was a II year student of a private nursing college near Fever Hospital. Every day, Theresa used to walk along the railway tracks till Sitaphalmandi railway station, cross the road and catch a bus to her college. The mishap occurred at 8.20 am while Theresa was going to college. An MMTS train going to Lingampally from Falaknuma hit the girl who was walking close to the railway track. "She died on the spot due to head injuries," Kacheguda railway SI J Rama Rao said.
“TDP Corporator” Arrested under prostitution
Sama Ramana Reddy, a Telugu Desam Party corporator of Champapet division, was caught by police after raiding a brothel at Amberpet on Thursday. The corporator and another person were caught along with two sex workers and a pimp by the Commissioner's Task Force (East) wing when they raided the brothel. They were handed over to the Amberpet police who registered a case under relevant sections of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act.
Customers and pimps were also caught at several other places during raids conducted by the Task Force teams in other parts of the city on Thursday. The arrested persons would be produced before the local court concerned on Friday.

Leader “RaNa” midnight Celebrations

One more Leopard @ Tirumala footpath
According to forest officials, some of the pilgrims and TTD employees, who were on duty, spotted a female panther at the 35th curve near the 7th mile, where just a few days back a young leopard was trapped by the forest staff. On being alerted by the employees and pilgrims, a team of forest officials visited the spot and found the pug marks.
Meanwhile, on the advice of forest officials, TTD Management has ordered for the closure of the footpath from 1600 hrs to 0600 hrs. According to sources, TTD was planning to impose permanent ban on Tirumala footpath during the night and in the wee hours.
CPI Demand against cancellation of mining lease
Demanding cancellation of the mining lease to a company allegedly owned by a son-in-law of former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Communist Party of India (CPI) Thursday laid siege to Khammam district. Police arrested CPI state secretary K. Narayana and other leaders and activists for staging protests on roads in different parts of the district. The road blockades brought vehicular traffic to halt at several places including on the borders with Chhattisgarh and Orissa.
Narayana, CPI legislator P. Nageswara Rao and other leaders were arrested at Paleru in Khammam district. The main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supported the CPI protest. Police also arrested CPI workers who staged a protest at the office of Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC).
The move to put the lease on hold, taken allegedly at the instance of Congress leadership, was seen as an attempt to checkmate Rajasekhara Reddy's son Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy for defying the party. Claiming that it was a bigger scam than the one in Karnataka involving Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, the TDP and the Left parties are demanding a thorough probe in the matter. The parties alleged that the lease was given by YSR government a few months before the elections last year.

Chiranjeevi interest on Kollywood Movie
It is known news that a new movie has hit the town and it is ‘Periyar Ramaswamy Naicker’. This is a dubbed version of the Tamil film with the same title which was a hit in Kollywood and is now trying its fate in the Telugu circuit. Now, megastar Chiranjeevi is said to be showing interest in watching this film.
Apparently, Periyar, who started Dravidian movement, hails from a Kapu family though they were settled in Tamilnadu. Now, this factor is said to be the key cause for Chiru to show the interest. However, few others are saying Chiru might want to take notes on how Periyar dealt with things and use them for his own benefit.
The film has the Kollywood veteran Sathyaraj in the title role while the eternal beauty Khushboo played the role of his wife. Even our very own Kaikala Satyanarayana (who is a kapu) played a key role in the film. Well, let us hope Chiru learns something useful out of this one then.

Moon Sighted, Delicious “Haleem” Starts Today
The crescent moon marking the commencement of fasting month of Ramzan was sighted in the state on Wednesday. Moulana Qubul Pasha Shuttari, secretary of Rooyat-e-Hilal, the moon sighting committee, said the first day of Ramzan fasting will be observed on Thursday.
Sirens blared from mosques to announce the sighting of the moon. Tar-aveeh prayers were offered after Isha namaz.

In a rare hard-hitting attack, Mr Rao said Telugu Desam would never allow Telangana leaders to become Chief Minister or hold any key posts in the legislature or government.
“I assert it’s an Andhra party. Telangana leaders will never become either a Chief Minister, party chief, TDLP leader or hold a key post in the party or the government. It is dominated by Andhras and they want us to live like chaprasis (peons) and polish their shoes,” he said. He demanded an unconditional apology from Mr Harikrishna for stating that he (Mr Rao) had amassed crores of rupees, if not he would drag Mr Harikrishna to court with a defamation suit.
“He (Mr Harikrishna) can’t even sign so the question of him writing a letter does not arise. However, I am surprised at its contents including critical comments on me for ditching the party after enjoying several posts,” he said.
