Walker’s path from Alipiri will remain closed

The TTD temple management on Thursday extended the closure of the walkers path from Tirupati to Tirumala by one more week till August 21 as the female leopard, said to be on the prowl, is yet to be caught.

"The walkers path from Alipiri will remain closed between 4 pm and 6 am till August 21," said TTD EO I Y R Krishna Rao. The female leopard was reportedly spotted near the ghat road on Wednesday night and all efforts are on to trap the animal, the EO said.

This is the third extension of the closure of the walkers path following attacks on humans by leopards. One leopard was trapped last week but the closure continues as the second one is yet to be caught.
